Data Entry Associate

Seeking Data Entry Associate to interact with and follow up with employees within the agency as well as with customers to collect information. This position will capture the data into relevant databases in a timely and accurate manner. The ideal candidate will be focused, diligent, energetic, and have good people’s skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and verifies accuracy, enters and updates a large volume and variety of program-required hardcopy data and records into an electronic data base system.
  • Prepares, edits and produces standard and designs requested ad hoc reports using the Program’s database’s report-writer and Microsoft Office applications
  • Follows standard operating procedures to maintain and secure data. 
  • Prepares application documentation
  • Organizes and maintains a user-friendly hard copy file system and retrieval procedures.
  • Handles sensitive information and maintains confidentiality and
  • Maintains office or departmental records and files

Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of:

  • Office practices and procedures
  • Data entry, database maintenance, report generation and record keeping methodologies
  • Ability to use correct grammar, vocabulary, and spelling
  • Program requirements, intake procedures, regulations, and customer contact skills
  • Knowledge of office software and applications to the administrative environment

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to, physically, perform the basic life operational functions of stooping, fingering, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to perform sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Must possess the visual acuity to work with data and figures, operate a computer and other machines and read extensively over an extended period of time.

Desirable Education and Experience

  • Graduation from high school and
  • Considerable experience in social service program intake, journey level administrative support, or related work;
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus

Must possess a valid NC driver’s license; pass physical, drug screen and background checks.   

Hourly Range:  $11.24 -15.50 DOQ

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education

HR Manager
We are an anti-poverty agency looking for a seasoned, professional HR professional to be our HR Manager.  Along with a personnel analyst, this hands-on position supports the HR needs of 130 FTEs.

Our HR Manager ensures that we comply with relevant employment law is responsible for HR-related policies, programs and systems including but not limited to job analysis, pay and classification, recruitment, screening and selection, employee benefits and electronic and hardcopy HR records.  The HR Manager must also know and apply federal and state HR laws and regulations, be able to communicate clearly, exercise sound judgment, meet repeated deadlines, work on teams, facilitate small groups, demonstrate best-practice supervision and counsel others on lawful employment and behaviorally-based discipline practices. 

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in HR Management, Public Administration or Business Administration with an emphasis in HR, or a related field
  • Minimum of eight (8) years as an assistant or HR Manager/Director in a small public or medium-sized non-profit organization
  • Five (5) years of supervisory experience and SHRM-SCP also required. 
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable. 
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish/English preferred 

This position is exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime pay

Salary Range:  $60,770 to $85,079 (DOQ) plus competitive benefits including 401(k)
